The short version

• Our apps don't require an account.
• Files and content you open in our apps are processed on your device and are not uploaded to us.
• We don't sell your personal information.
• If you email us, we use your email only to reply and to fix the problem you reported.

Information we collect

Content on your device

Some apps work with files or information on your phone, for example a PDF you choose to open. This content is processed on your device. We do not upload it to our servers and we cannot see it.

Information you send us

If you contact us for support, we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include, such as screenshots or your phone model.

Information collected by third-party services

Our apps are distributed through app stores like Google Play and may use the third-party services listed in Third-party services. Those services may collect information under their own privacy policies.

Device permissions

An app asks for a permission only when it needs it for a feature you are using, such as access to a file you want to open. You can review or withdraw permissions at any time in your phone's settings. The permissions each app uses, and why, are listed in Details for each app.

How we use information

We use the limited information we receive to:

• reply to your messages and give support
• find and fix bugs and improve our apps
• keep our apps secure and prevent misuse
• meet our legal obligations

When we share information

We don't sell or rent your personal information. We share it only:

• with the service providers listed in this policy, so they can provide their service to us
• when the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Shlay Studios
• as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information

Third-party services

Our apps use these third-party services:

Keeping and deleting your data

Data that an app stores on your device, like settings or history, stays on your device. You can delete it by clearing the app's data in your phone's settings or by uninstalling the app.

We keep support emails for as long as we need them to help you, and for a reasonable time afterwards in case you follow up. To ask us to delete them sooner, email hello@shlaystudios.com.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information we handle. Because our apps keep your content on your device, the security of that content also depends on keeping your phone locked and up to date. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our apps are general-audience apps and are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, email hello@shlaystudios.com and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email hello@shlaystudios.com. We will respond within the time required by the law that applies to you.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when our apps or the law change. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change is significant, we will also let you know in the app or on this website.
